Hi, I’m Gerry le Roux, a photographer based in Palmerston North, a university town in the lower central North Island of New Zealand.
When I’m not photographing science & technology, I spend my time, camera in hand, in pursuit of what the French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson termed “the decisive moment”.
Every day offers an endless array of fascinating faces, places and things – all you have to do is look. I am intrigued by the challenge of capturing interesting people doing what they do, be it a wedding couple on their special day, a model in a photo studio, musicians on stage, a shopkeeper plying his trade, or just a charming street scene. While I am professionally trained in studio photography, I particularly enjoy working in a photojournalistic style, and I relish the challenge of capturing the spark of spontaneity in both formally posed and informal images.
I would love to assist with any photography requirements you may have. Don’t hesitate to phone me at 06 3566 377 (office) or 027 510 5177 (mobile) or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
